New Day 4 You was started to help individuals, couples or families that are seeking help in life, their relationships or freedom from addictions and support for the loved ones. We utilize a unique approach of counseling, coaching and/or mentoring to meet people where they are and take them to where they want to go. We recognize that each person is unique, and because of this, each person has specific desires, goals, beliefs, struggles and influences that must all be taken into consideration in order to help them best. If you or a loved one is struggling or seeking growth & change, New Day 4 You is a place that will come beside you and help walk you through your journey to offer care, guidance, and support so that you can experience a new day!
Shawn Sawyer is the director of New Day 4 You. He is a Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor and Nationally Certified Life Coach and Recovery Coach. He also has specialized certifications from the American Association of Sex Addiction Therapists as a:
– Sexual Recovery Therapist (SRT)
– Partner Recovery Therapist (PRT)
– Partner Betrayal and Trauma Therapist (PBTT)
– Intimacy Anorexia Therapists (IAT)
In addition to these certifications, Shawn has advanced training in:
– Cognitive Behavior Therapy
– Solution Focused Brief Therapy
– Motivation Interviewing
– Trauma (Brainspotting Level 1, 2 & Addiction specialization)
– Grief counseling
– Prepare/Enrich Marriage and Pre-Marriage Facilitator
His approach is first and foremost about earning your trust and developing a collaborative working relationship to help you achieve your goals. His approach draws on several years of experience that started in early 2000 in his own recovery, and then counseling/coaching individuals along with facilitating therapeutic and educational groups. Over the years Shawn has enjoyed helping individuals, couples and groups to experience positive change and freedom.
Shawn holds a Masters in Addiction Counseling from Grand Canyon University, and prior to counseling was successful in the business world as a business owner and sales representative.
For several years he has served and voluntarily led men’s sexual addiction support and recovery groups, overseen recovery ministries and was a board of director for a non-profit recovery organization.

He is married to his best friend Robin and together they have served as marriage mentors and have helped couples walk through difficult seasons. For fun, he enjoys nature and whenever possible getting out on his bike or hiking with Robin and their dogs. In nature, he is often reminded that God loves each of us and is able to do far more than any of us can imagine and are able. That has been true in his life and is available to you as well.
