A New Day!

Hello and thank you for visiting our website. The idea and name of A New Day 4 You is one that has a great deal of meaning in my life, and I believe is important for anyone impacted by addiction and mental illness.  I share this because many years ago life for me lacked hope and as I work with individuals I often hear similar responses from each of them.  However, when we begin to discover that some days are more difficult than others, and if we can get just through that one day, that tomorrow (A New Day) might be a little better.  Now, this normally isn’t the case if we continue to do life like we have been that causes us chaos & disfunction.  However, when we seek help and are willing and able to take what we learn and apply it our life, in time things will get better.  I call that having hope, and that is an amazing and powerful thing to have in life.

Recently, one of my wife’s favorite singers, Danny Gokey, released a son called “New Day.”  The opening lyrics share:

Wake up and breathe in deeper than yesterday

Take on the morning life your soul’s been remade

Roll down the windows, let your cares fly away

Good things are yours to claim, you don’t have to wait

All across the sky

New mercies rise

And the future’s bright

This is a New Day
